Headed out to try out the new boat. Was a little bit of a transition from a bass boat to a deap V but worth the trade off. Now I can use this for striper fishing, salmon fishing / trolling, bass fishing, and it is plenty light so towing it is easier.
I will admit, there were some things that I did not like especially the trolling motor.
I was able to take a few casts but the water was still pretty cold and though the ice was gone, there was still shorelines with ice on them.
Great to get out though (in the new rig).
I went there hoping to run into an old friend and suprise him with my new boat. However, he actually went somewhere else for the day. I gave him a call and told him about it though.
